Join use for a group discussion regarding using psychedelics to treat addiction. We are a group of people that include those who have found success or have interest in finding success in beating addictions of all sorts using psychedelic medicine. At first glance, this may sound counterintuitive, and many of us felt that way at first, too. It turns out the proper use of psychedelics can be powerful in aiding in the fight against addictions of all kinds. For example, did you know that Bill Wilson, the co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous, was an outspoken advocate of LSD use as part of a recovery program for decades after A.A. was founded?(a) Addiction is defined here as any type of hurt, habit, or hang up which there is an inability to control, and is causing some level of psychological, physical, or social harm.
Some of us have even found that psychedelics can not only help control our unwanted desires but can often even work down to the root cause as well. Our group meetings are welcoming to anyone who has a desire to quit anything at all, ranging from the most dangerous of illicit narcotics to something as seemingly harmless as unwanted sugar intake.
Topics for the discussion will organically present themselves through input from the group. We ask that each person limits their sharing to around five minutes each, so that everyone who wants to has a chance to share.
*Disclaimer: This meeting is not a place to seek out unlawful drugs, nor a place to sell them. Please do not bring or arrive on any illegal substances, or you will be asked to leave. This group is designed as a safe and sober place to help members discuss prior experiences with psychedelics and how they relate to addiction recovery.
