What we’re about

THE AMERICAN WALKERS' ASSOCIATION
of Greater Cincinnati, OH - 2016 - 100th year

The Oldest Walking Club in the USA - Established December 1916
Enjoy your visit to our site and after reading of our aim and about membership,  we hope that you will join us for a walk.

Our Sunday morning group walks four to seven miles in different locations around the tri-state. We walk in city parks, county parks, state parks, bike trails and roads around Northern Kentucky, Southwest Ohio, and Southeast Indiana.  The time and location of our walks are listed here.

Please do not bring your dog (or dogs) on our scheduled hikes.

When the weather is good, April through September, feel free to bring a picnic lunch or if the weather is bad, find a nearby place to eat (they know most of the good ones.)  Either way they enjoy a bit of socializing.
When park trails are muddy or icy, every attempt will be made to move the hike to surfaced roads.

AIM- Our aim is the promotion and encouragement of group walking for health, friendship, and recreation for people of all ages and abilities.  It is presumed that an individual's main reason for joining is a genuine interest in walking.

MEETUP  GROUP MEMBERSHIP - There is no charge for becoming a member of the Meetup Group.
