Keeping the second language awake.

A group for parents in and around Amersfoort raising kids in English, Russian, Chinese or Italian alongside Dutch. Tweetalige kunstles voor kinderen in Amersfoort.

We’re Artling, an art studio run by one multilingual family for others. Our classes are taught in English, Russian, Chinese or Italian, for children aged 4 to 13. A child who is painting is not thinking about grammar. That’s how a sleeping language wakes up: sideways, through joy.

What happens in this group:
Children events where your child can practice art in their second language with other kids that are growing the same language: read-and-draw workshops, painting, drawing, collaging workshops, or art exhibitions. Free unless the event page says otherwise. This is also where we post trial classes and new groups first.

What a class looks like :
· Regular classes are 60 minutes, once a week
· Trials, workshops and other classes are described per event
· Small groups, by age and language
· The series often end with an exhibition, for the kids who want to show their work 

What it costs:
Your child’s first class is free. Come once, no strings. After that, classes are booked as a paid 5 or 10-class series, paid in advance. Ask us for prices. Booking happens on artling.nl, not on Meetup.

Children come to Meetup events with a parent or guardian.
