This presentation will provide an overview of key digital forensics concepts, their legal basis, and a brief history of digital forensics. It will also cover two notable court cases and examine the precedents they established.

Scott C. Zimmerman is a career cybersecurity professional with over 25 years of experience. In addition to his primary role, he has been a featured author and the Legal Editor at Digital Forensics Magazine for fourteen years. Before the pandemic, he was an adjunct instructor, introducing undergraduate students to Linux.
