Jam Room Music Festival (free!)
Finley Park, 930 Laurel Steet, Columbia, SC, USThe Jam Room Music Festival returns to Finlay Park, with 10 bands playing all day across two stages. Have been to this fest a few times and have never left disappointed... so let's go hang out!
https://jamroommusicfestival.com/
This isn't your typical freebie music festival. Jam Room brings in nationally and regionally known bands, and the lineup is pretty diverse musically. Also, the schedule isn't overcrowded, so no disappointingly short sets to worry about.
Here are this year's headliners (full lineup here):
- Swervedriver (British alt-rock with a dash of country)
- Ranky Tanky (Southern roots music influenced by jazz)
- Pylon Reenactment Society (new wave/post-punk from the legendary Athens, GA scene)
- Elf Power (indie rock, also from Athens)
- Fust (Southern rock from Durham, NC)
If you haven't seen downtown's renovated and reconfigured Finlay Park yet, this is also a perfect opportunity to do that.
As usual for this group, this is a simple, no-pressure Meetup: Show up, find the group, and enjoy the music together.
A lineup with times hasn't been posted yet, but I can post it here as soon as it goes public. This Spotify playlist features the bands.
