Neurodiversity & Spiritual Development: Tools for Thriving
Details
Navigating a world not designed for the neurodivergent mind can be challenging and painful.
This session will explore how spiritual development and contemplative practices can offer real, practical tools which may help us to connect to our authentic self and flourish.
We will cover:
Fear & Anxiety
Neurodivergent people often experience heightened fear and anxiety. We look at what spiritual traditions and practices like meditation can offer as tools for working with this.
Self-View & Self-Confidence
Having to function in systems that are not always ideally designed for the neurodivergent mind can stand in the way of developing a healthy self view.
We explore how spiritual development can help you build a grounded, authentic relationship with who you are — beyond labels and expectations.
Open to anyone curious to explore these topics. We will share from personal experiences, so your own is more than welcome.
Alone, everything can be hard. Together, we can create the world we need and deserve... and have fun in the process.
Practicalities:
- Bring your own food and drinks, share if you feel like (no alcohol)
- I will open the door as close as possible to 18:30
(I'm time blind, I can be late but I'm trying my best)
- We aim to start the conversation by 19:00
- We start with an introduction circle that takes +- 45 min
- We will have a 10 min. break around 20:00
- Then we go into small groups for around 1h
- We finish around 21:00
- You can stay in the space and socialise until 22:00
