With the goal of creating more and more spaces for our community, and the conviction that we achieve more through collaboration as together we are stronger, I have the pleasure to invite you to enjoy a relax afternoon of games, drinks, sun, nature, and interesting conversations in and around Chez Favie, at the Amsterdamse Bos in Amstelveen.

Our amazing friends from the Neurodiversity Foundation are organising NeuroCafés for different brains to connect in social and cozy spaces around the country, this time is the turn of Amstelveen, just a few tram stops from Amsterdam.

You don’t need to bring anything, and nothing is mandatory, but extra picnic blankets are always welcome. And if you would like to do, offer or share something, you are always welcome to.

The first drink is free, and all children, young people, and Gen Z participants will also get a free ice cream.

At 17:00, the venue closes, but participants can stay outside afterwards to chat, go for a walk, swim, or have a barbecue — the barbecue area is about 200 meters away. There is also a kids adventure area, where they can explore, close to the BBQ area.
There is parking available, but you can also come by bike or on foot.
We hope to see you all again at this 3rd edition of Neurocafe Amstelveen!

Hope to see you there,
Hugs
José Antonio (Founder and host of the ADHD+ Support Group) &
Tjerk (Director of the Neurodiversity Foundation)

Here the official description:
A space for every kind of mind.

  • Amstelveen is home to a large neurodivergent community, and we love getting together and building new friendships. That's why we're launching Neurocafé: the social hub for everyone with a unique brain.
  • Our friendly team of neurodivergent volunteers is ready to welcome you! We offer small activities every time, but nothing is mandatory. Just come as you are and participate however you like, at your own speed.
  • We've created a space that is carefully designed to be as comfortable and sensory-friendly as possible. Entry is completely free, and your first drink is on us!
  • Bring yourself, it's okay if you don't know anyone yet. Or bring a plus one!
