Directed by Sergio Leone

Runtime: 175 minutes

Year: 1968

Once Upon a Time in the West is a sweeping, operatic Western masterpiece by Sergio Leone that blends myth, revenge, and the dying spirit of the Old West. Set against the backdrop of a town on the edge of the frontier, it follows a mysterious harmonica-playing gunslinger (Charles Bronson), a ruthless killer (Henry Fonda in a rare villainous role), and a strong-willed widow (Claudia Cardinale) whose land becomes the center of a deadly struggle tied to the coming of the railroad. With Ennio Morricone’s iconic score and Leone’s breathtaking visuals, the film unfolds as a slow-burning, poetic meditation on justice, greed, and the end of an era.

The film is in English, with Dutch subtitles
