“May the Schwartz be with you!” Spaceballs is a hilarious parody of science fiction classics, especially Star Wars, packed with absurd jokes and clever references that land even if you know nothing about the originals. Lone Starr and his half man half dog companion Barf try to rescue a princess and save a planet from running out of air. Rick Moranis steals the show as the ridiculous yet lovable villain Dark Helmet, delivering nonstop comedy. The film plays with fourth wall breaks, visual gags, and witty satire that make every scene entertaining. Mel Brooks brings his signature humor, mixing silly slapstick with surprisingly sharp commentary on Hollywood and merchandising. Expect lots of laughs, quotable moments, and a fun ride through space that never takes itself too seriously.
The film is in English with Dutch subtitles.
