Paris, Texas
Travis, a mysterious, near-silent drifter, is found wandering the Texas desert after years of disappearance. As he slowly reconnects with his young son — who has been living with his brother in Los Angeles — he sets out to find his missing wife, Jane. What unfolds is a haunting, deeply moving meditation on family, masculinity, and the myth of the American road.
Pioneer of New German Cinema Wim Wenders brings his signature eye for landscape to the American Southwest in this Palme d'Or-winning masterpiece (Cannes 1984), written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Sam Shepard, shot by Dutch cinematographer Robby Müller, and set to Ry Cooder's now-iconic score. We're screening a brand new 4K restoration, presented to celebrate Wenders' 80th birthday.

The film is in English.
