Recharge & Resonate: Find Balance Through Voice, Movement & Play 🎶✨

Details
Burnout prevention and recovery begin with reconnecting to yourself - your breath, your body, your voice. In a world that keeps us in our heads and pulls us away from presence, what if you could step into balance through movement, sound, and play?
On October 11th, Saturday at 4 pm, we'll meet at OT301 for a voice and body workshop guided by Fruzsi & Rita, founders of the Hangar of Voice, to guide us to tune into ourselves, leave overthinking behind, and enjoy being fully present in our bodies. We’ll explore how a strong voice can help us stay balanced.
What to expect:
This introductory workshop invites us to explore the connection between voice, body, and play as a way to recharge and find balance. Together, we’ll create a safe, supportive space for personal growth without judgment - a playground for adults where curiosity and experimentation are welcome.
Through guided exercises, games, and practical tools, we'll gain insights into improving our vocal and physical presence - and discover how to bring these practices into your daily life.
What we will use:
- Bodywork: awareness, grounding, exploring the borders of the body & directions
- Focus: simple practices to center attention and concentration
- Imagination: how creative images can help us stay present and perform at our best
- Voice: warm-ups for voice, face, and tongue - everything we need for light, joyful communication
- Resonance & vibration: discovering how sound moves through your body and connects you with others
This workshop is for you if you would like to:
- Get out of your head and be present in your body
- Learn how to pay great attention to yourself (and to others)
- Communicate more clearly, precisely, and with full confidence
- Play & act freely
- Connect more easily with other people
- Learn how to allow yourself to make mistakes
What to bring:
Arrive in comfortable clothes. We will work barefoot or in socks. Other than that, just bring yourself and your curiosity.
What you might take away:
- Deepened ability to listen to yourself and others
- A chance to experiment with what your voice and body are truly capable of
- New awareness of your expectations and how to reshape them
- A clearer sense of your boundaries, and the courage to say no
- Joy in playing, connecting, and experimenting together
About the facilitators:
Fruzsi Horvath is an actress, speech & drama teacher, and acting coach with deep roots in theater. Since the 90s, she has explored organic voice and movement, drawing inspiration from the greater theater masters. Rita Bura is a speech-language therapist and voice teacher living in the Netherlands, with a passion for the complexity of the voice. Her work blends classical speech therapy with insights from theater to explore how the voice expresses the whole personality. They are co-founders of Hangar of Voice, where they organize voice and body workshops for different groups. They also work as community builders with status holders in Amsterdam.
