Everything about this Filipino newcomer (by a James Beard-nominated Portland chef) is as lively as can be: the colorful decor, the vibrant food, the funky cocktails. The pro move is to order at least one thing from every section of the menu: There’s chicken thigh skewers in soy-cola BBQ sauce, scallop kinilaw (akin to ceviche) in coconut vinaigrette with mango and pickled chilis, the signature crab fat noodles, crispy pork belly in liver sauce with pickled papaya, and sweet chili-glazed charred cabbage with chicken skin gremolata. Then wash it all down with an ube- and calamansi-spiked pisco sour or a peppery tamarind margarita.—Eater

Our events are often popular and our seats few, so I'm determined to avoid sad empty seats that could have gone to eager waitlisters. 48 hours before the event I'll start inviting waitlisters to fill unpaid spots, so the sooner the better. Q: What's the no-show policy?
A: We kindly ask that you shoot the host a message or un-RSVP 24+ hours before the event starts if you can't make it to avoid being counted a no-show—this way eager wait-listers still have time to fill your place. Two no-shows may result in removal from the group.

A: Did you know that your humble organizers pay about $360 a year to bring events to you on Meetup? A tiny annual donation from you is all it takes to keep the events coming.
