Manager Hirona
My name is Hirona, and I serve as a Co-Manager at Chit-Chat.
In Japan, I worked as a system engineer, but I wanted to broaden my perspective, so I decided to study abroad. I am currently enrolled in a Co-op program majoring in Business Management.
I enjoy talking with people and connecting with individuals from different cultural backgrounds, which led me to join Chit-Chat as an organizer.
After hearing about this opportunity from Hiroki, I became interested in contributing to the management side as well, and decided to take on the role of Co-Manager.
I’m excited to help make Chit-Chat an even more engaging and lively community.

Owner Hiroki
Graduated from Langara College in Canada. Licensed to teach English at junior and senior high school levels in Japan, he spent over 7 years involved in English education. Grateful for the opportunities Meetup has given him, Hiroki started this group to give back.
Currently, he is active internationally as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and works as a software engineer in Vancouver.

### 👥 オーガナイザー紹介
Hirona(マネージャー）
Chit-Chat CanadaでCo-Managerを務めております、Hironaです。
日本ではシステムエンジニアとして働いていましたが、より広い視野を身につけ、海外での経験を積みたいと思い、留学を決意しました。現在はCo-opプログラムでビジネスマネジメントを専攻しています。
人と話すことが好きで、さまざまな国や文化的背景を持つ方々と交流したいという思いから、Chit-Chatのオーガナイザーとして活動を始めました。
オーガナイザーとして活動する中で、イベント運営だけでなく、コミュニティのマネジメント面にも関わりたいと思うようになり、Co-Managerとして参加することを決めました。
これからもChit-Chat Canadaを、より温かく、楽しく、活気のあるコミュニティにしていけるよう頑張ります。よろしくお願いします。

Hiroki（オーナー）
カナダのLangara College卒業。中高の英語教員免許を所持し、7年間日本で英語教育に従事。Meetupを通じて多くの恩恵を受け、自身の知識を還元したいと考えこの会を設立。現在は国際的にブラジリアン柔術家として活動しつつ、バンクーバーでソフトウェアエンジニアとしても活躍。

- Anyone who wants to practise English or Japanese (beginners & intermediate welcome)
- Solo participants — most people come alone, so you’re in good company
- Anyone who wants international friends in Vancouver
- Even if you’re tired and just want to chat casually — you’re welcome
What You Get
- Curated topic cards so you never run out of things to say
- English & Japanese vocabulary lists to take home
- Assigned seating designed to mix people up and spark new connections
- A supportive atmosphere where mistakes are encouraged, not corrected

Round 1 — English only (1 hour)
Round 2 — Japanese only (1 hour)
