BC Day Lynn Canyon Park Hiking

Join us for a relaxing hike and language exchange at beautiful Lynn Canyon Park in North Vancouver!
We will explore the forest trails, cross the famous Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, visit scenic areas such as Twin Falls and the 30 Foot Pool, and enjoy conversations in English and Japanese along the way.
This is a friendly social event for people who want to enjoy nature, meet new people, and practice languages in a relaxed atmosphere. Beginners and first-time participants are welcome!

Please arrive on time so that we can begin the hike together.

### What We Will Do

• Explore Lynn Canyon’s forest trails
• Cross the suspension bridge
• Visit Twin Falls and the 30 Foot Pool area
• Practice English and Japanese
• Meet new people
• Take photos and enjoy nature
• Take breaks and walk at a comfortable group pace

### What to Bring

• Comfortable hiking or walking shoes
• Water
• Snacks or a light lunch
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• Sunscreen and a hat, if needed
• A swimsuit and towel if you plan to enter the water
• A change of clothes, if needed

### Water Safety Notice

Lynn Canyon Park does not have a lake. We may visit the 30 Foot Pool area along Lynn Creek.
Entering the water is completely optional and entirely at your own risk. Swimming is not an organized or supervised part of this event.
The water can be extremely cold, and currents and water levels may change unexpectedly. There is no lifeguard on duty. Please follow all posted safety signs, do not cliff-jump, and do not enter the water unless you are confident that the conditions are safe.

• This is a social community event, not a professionally guided hiking tour.
• Please stay with the group and follow the organizers’ instructions.
• Please respect other participants, park visitors, wildlife, and the natural environment.
• Participation is at your own risk.
• Please do not leave any garbage behind.
• The trails may be wet, muddy, slippery, or uneven.
• The route may be adjusted depending on trail conditions, weather, and the group’s pace.
• The event may be cancelled or rescheduled in case of severe weather or unsafe conditions.

森の中のトレイルを歩き、有名なLynn Canyon Suspension Bridgeを渡り、Twin Fallsや30 Foot Poolなどの景色を楽しむ予定です。
自然を楽しみながら、英語や日本語で会話し、新しい人と交流できるカジュアルなイベントです。ハイキング初心者や初参加の方も大歓迎です！

• Lynn Canyonの森林トレイルを散策
• 吊り橋を渡ります
• Twin Fallsや30 Foot Pool周辺を訪れます
• 英語・日本語で自由に交流
• 新しい友達づくり
• 写真撮影や自然観賞
• 休憩を取りながら、グループに合わせたペースで歩きます

### 持ち物

• ハイキングや散策に適した歩きやすい靴
• 飲み物
• 軽食または簡単な昼食
• 天候に合った服装
• 必要に応じて日焼け止めや帽子
• 水に入る予定の方は水着とタオル
• 必要に応じて着替え

### 水辺での安全について

Lynn Canyon Parkに湖はありません。Lynn Creek沿いにある30 Foot Pool周辺を訪れる予定です。
水に入るかどうかは自由ですが、すべて各自の判断と責任でお願いします。水泳はこのイベントの正式な活動ではなく、監視や指導も行いません。
水温は非常に低く、流れや水位が急に変化することがあります。監視員もいません。現地の安全表示に必ず従い、崖からの飛び込みは絶対にしないでください。安全だと判断できない場合は、水に入らないでください。

### 注意事項

• このイベントは、プロのガイドが案内するハイキングツアーではなく、参加者同士で交流を楽しむコミュニティイベントです。
• イベント中はグループから離れず、主催者の案内にご協力ください。
• 他の参加者、公園利用者、野生動物、自然環境への配慮をお願いします。
• 参加中の事故や怪我については、各自の責任でご参加ください。
• ゴミは必ず持ち帰ってください。
• トレイルが濡れていたり、ぬかるんでいたり、滑りやすくなっている場合があります。
• 天候、トレイルの状態、参加者のペースによって、ルートを変更する場合があります。
• 悪天候や安全上の問題がある場合は、中止または延期となることがあります。
