"TonePush" App is now in some kind of public alpha / beta testing phase. Feedback needed !!

Many months ago, I asked the question "does anybody know of an app that allows you to set the ringtone on someone else's phone". I asked this at Mobile Monday and also pretty much every networking event I went to. The answer was pretty much "no".

Often followed by "Why on Earth would you want to??" Ok.. So this App concept isn't necessarily for "us" - the techies who are privacy aware, the people who have meetings with clients etc etc. But for the rest of the world I have received a very positive response (even from the crowd at Droidcon where in under a minute, I managed to demo the entire thing.. and that was challenging).

So.. I would love your feedback about the app. I know the design is ... lacking .. but I'm working on that. I'm more interested in finding out the bits people want to use (and get those looking decent) rather than designing a feature that 0.1% of the users want.

The Permissions it asks for are pretty scary, so if you don't want to install it, here's a video of it in operation :

If you do want to give it a bash, then here's the play store link:

Either way, please let me know what you think, how you get on with it etc etc.

Lots of "important" features will be added soon (I just worked on the "critical" bits to start with - to get the app running), like contact specific permissioning etc etc.

Ultimately though - as I am sure you are aware- if you don't like the app, just uninstall but please let me know why.
