17th Century Manga?!
Japanese woodblock prints are making an aesthetic comeback, but they've had a huge influence on our favorite mediums since the earliest manga.
AnimeChicago, Japanese Arts Foundation, and the Japanese Culture Center are proud to present Fright Parade: Creatures of Ukiyo-e that Lurk in Anime and Manga. This event will explore and celebrate the history and enduring impact of yokai with three short talks, an audience Q&A, and a display of select woodblock prints from the Floating World Gallery.
This event is open to the public and admission is $5. Get your tickets now on Eventbrite (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/fright-parade-creatures-of-ukiyo-e-that-lurk-in-anime-and-manga-tickets-37584892425?aff=es2)
