Free Coursera Course: Generative AI with LLMs (Week 1)

LLMs such as ChatGPT is a disruptive technology and will have significant impact in the next few years. Coursera recently is offering a free 3 weeks course, Generative AI with LLMs, https://www.coursera.org/learn/generative-ai-with-llms (from DeepLearning.AI and AWS). It is free to enroll (although you have to pay to receive a certificate for course completion). We have quite some interests from the community to take this courses together and we'll dedicate the next 2 meetups for it.

• August meetup - Course Week 1 discussions
• September meetup - Course Week 2 & 3 discussions

Agenda for August meetup:

1. We'll ask volunteers to summarize Week 1 of the course.
2. We'll open the table for people to discuss questions from assignments and anything they wish to discuss from the course.

It is best to enroll and finish Week 1 of the course before going to the meetup. But you are welcome to show up regardless.

Logistics:

• Door opens at 5:30pm. Meetup will start at 6:00pm.
• Pizzas and light refreshment will be served, courtesy to our sponsor Ann Arbor SPARK.
• Meetup will end at 7:00pm. But you are welcome to stay till 7:30pm to socialize.
• This is a in-person meetup only for community building. No online steaming.
