Please join us for the February Positive Business Meetup. At this Meetup, Dave Jansen, VP of Technology at Give and Take Inc., will be presenting about “Agile: Positive Business Practices in Action”.

About the presentation:
Agile is a popular business process and management practice philosophy that started in the software industry and is now being applied to all forms of business. It has come to be a mix of philosophical concepts along with specific practices, although most teams and organizations apply these practices in their own ways. For many organizations, moving to Agile has transformed their business and their culture in incredibly positive ways.

In this presentation, we’ll be discussing how the success of Agile is tied to its strong connection to positive psychology and positive business. We’ll be examining a number of common Agile practices and diving down into the heart of what makes them work in teams.

For individuals who are already familiar with Agile, you’ll come away with a deeper understanding of how Agile is acting as a culture creating agent and a major factor in employee job satisfaction. With this, we hope you’ll be empowered to bring more focus to the aspects of your business processes that really matter. For those new or unfamiliar with Agile, you will be exposed to new ideas for bringing practical positive business practices back to your team.

Dave Jansen is a technology leader that has worked in a number of startups and software companies for over 30 years. He has experienced the growth of teams from very small to relatively large multiple times, and as such has seen the significant impact that good (or bad) business processes have in the success of teams and organizations. Dave is a huge advocate for Agile and other Positive Business practices.

Dave is currently the Vice President of Technology at Give and Take, Inc. Give and Take is a startup focused on transforming businesses by using technology to create a culture of giving within an organization.
