Maryland Special Olympics Swimming Qualifier

The Annapolis Jaycees, jointly with the US Naval Academy, will be hosting Special Olympics swimming qualifier competitions on April 18 at the North Arundel Aquatic Center from 4:30pm - 9:30pm.
Food will be provided for all volunteers. Minimum volunteer age is 13 (with parental signature) and volunteers will need to sign a volunteer waiver. We're seeking 15-20 volunteers for this event!
Each athlete will be paired with a Midshipman "buddy" from USNA, while the rest of the volunteers will be assigned one of the following tasks:
Registration - Responsible for checking in Coaches, Athletes, and volunteers. Verifying event scratches.
Staging - Responsible for locating and lining up all athletes for their events. Will seed all athletes into lanes.
Timing - Responsible for taking and recording the time for each athlete in their respective lane.
Starter - Responsible for on-deck athlete verification, event start, and general operations..
Scoring - Responsible for recording athlete time and processing line-up for awards.
Awards - Responsible for creating awards and presentations after each event.
Food- Responsible for the set up, distribution, and cleanup.

Parking at the NAAC is open to all athletes, coaches, spectators, and volunteers.
