About us
Have you ever wondered what Annapolis looks like from the water? Or wanted to share the experience sailing without owning a boat or taking formal lessons?
This group is for people who enjoy meeting new friends while exploring the Chesapeake Bay together. Our goal is to build a welcoming community centered around boating, sailing, nature, and shared experiences on the water.
Every event is an opportunity to connect with others while connecting with nature, enjoy meaningful conversation, and experience Annapolis from a perspective few people get to see. Conversations and connection take on a different pace on the water while we relax, watch the sunset, explore local waterways, and/or visit waterfront destinations together.
No boating experience is necessary. Whether you're curious about sailing, hoping to become more comfortable on the water, interested in local history, the common thread is the desire to share the experience with a friendly group of people who enjoy being outdoors.
We'll often talk about navigation, boating safety, wildlife, Chesapeake Bay ecology, and the rich maritime history of Annapolis. Guests are welcome to participate by taking the wheel, helping with sails when conditions allow, or simply enjoying the company of fellow members.
Every event is intentionally kept small making it easy for everyone to get to know one another and leave having made new connections.
Our goal isn't simply to go boating. It's to build friendships while discovering and exploring one of the most beautiful places in Maryland together.
Most events require a fee to cover the boat, captain, insurance, fuel, and other operating expenses. Any applicable fees will always be clearly listed in the event description.
