Walk at Silverwood Park w/lunch after at Steele and Hops

Are you someone who hates to travel over Memorial Day weekend and deal with all the hustle and bustle of traffic and road construction?? Well, if you are one who is planning to stay back over the holiday, how about joining us for a casual walk and lunch afterward?

**Please Note: If you sign up, you are expected to do the walk AND join us for lunch afterward.

So, are you ready to test the elements of Mother Nature and want to go on a leisurely/casual walk🚶🏻‍♀️through Silverwood Park? This is going to be at a CASUAL pace. We want to get out and enjoy the beauty of nature that the park has to offer. We will not be in a hurry at all.

Terri is hosting this event and says this is a beautiful park and will be enjoyed by everyone. It’s a paved trail with wonderful views of Silver Lake. This is an easy level hike at about 1 mile around the park, and we can lap it twice, no problem. PLUS, there is a neat island to check out that brings you up close and personal to the water. This park is really a gem. Come join us, and you’ll see why. It’s home to owls🦉,deer 🦌, and many different species of birds 🦅🐦‍⬛ Let’s enjoy a nice morning walk🚶‍♀️to jumpstart our Saturday morning.

We will spend about 90 minutes or so walking the trails and enjoying the beautiful scenery, walking along Silver Lake, amongst other places. Afterwards let’s head down the road for lunch/drinks at Steele and Hops in St. Anthony.🍔🥤Terri has been there before and said the food is delicious. It's a place our group has never been before, and we're always up for trying new places. 😉 Terri will need to make reservations, so please no dropping out last minute.

Let’s meet no later than 9:50 am at the parking lot at the Event Center so we can hit the trails at 10:00am. Parking is FREE for everyone!! 😊

Go straight through the entrance of the park, go past a couple small parking lots, and the Event Center parking lot will be at the end. PLEASE be on time because we will be heading out promptly at 10:00. If you arrive a few minutes late, please walk fast, and hopefully, you will catch up with us.

**Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and clothes. Feel free to bring a water bottle if desired.

**All RSVP’s will be closed two days before the event, so we know all who is coming.
RSVP rules still apply - if you do not remove yourself from the “Going” list within 2 days from the start of the event, you will get a strike. Or, if you are on the “Going” list and you do not show up, you will get a strike.
3 strikes against you will result in your removal from the group for 5 months. All we ask is that you show up when you say you will.
