Foraging Nature Walk - Majestic View Nature Center ($5)

If you find yourself lost in the mountains, do you know which plants to eat? Do you know how to render acorns, nettle, or chokecherries safe to eat? Do you know the difference between wild carrot and water hemlock, and can you distinguish them from a safe distance?

Join Majestic View's Master Naturalist on a guided walk through Arvada’s parks, and learn the answers to your questions. We’ll discuss the plants growing right here and now, including a bit on how to identify, harvest, and prepare them safely. We recommend sunblock, walking shoes, a hat, weather appropriate attire, and a notebook for anyone wishing to take notes.
