Florissant Fossil Beds - Monument and Quarry ($20-$50)

Plan is to visit Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument and then go over to a private quarry to dig our own fossils.

The National Monument doesn't open until 9:00am. We'll enter the visitors center 9:30, my National Parks Pass can get 4 of us in for free, otherwise it's $10 per person. They have a video/ exhibits about what created the fossil beds, and some great hiking trails.

We'll hike both the Petrified Forest Loop and Geologic Time, 2ish miles before heading up the road to the fossil quarry. The quarry is cash only, $20 per person per hour. Time goes fast when you're splitting rocks looking for leaves and bugs.
