Antioch Writers Group Monthly Meetup
Writers will bring their works in progress, read them to the group and seek feedback. If you have a work to share, please bring at least 6 copies to pass around. Please email Todd Williams directly, if you would like him to make copies for you in advance to be passed out for the meetup. This group is self-sustaining due to the organizer's schedule who is not able to attend. However, if an assistant organizer is able to attend, they can help lead the group for that specific meetup. Members are encouraged to keep sharing to 10-15 minutes each, if the group is larger. You can ask the library for a bigger conference room if the one usually used (downstairs in corner) gets too crowded. When Todd is able, he will schedule a writing related speaker for the group at least once a year. Please email Todd Williams ([masked]) with any additional questions if needed.

What we're about

Public Group

Who are we? We're a group of people from all over NE IL/ SE WI who love to write. Our members come from all backgrounds, representing every stage of the writing process, from beginner to full-time writer. There are no limits on genre. Our members span the board, bringing in non-fiction, fiction, blogs, poems, essays, concept outlines, and so on. Meetings generally consist of members reading pieces they've written. They are then critiqued by the rest of the group. We strive to offer helpful tips for improving the author's work and skill as a writer. Sometimes we hold special events, including guest speakers and themed writing projects.
