Antioch Writing Group Monthly Meetup

Writing groups are a great way to build community and camaraderie, and to hone your skills. All are welcome, but please go to the apld.info calendar to register. Do not sign up on Meetup--all registrations must be submitted through APLD's website: apld.libcal.com/calendar

Meeting are held in-person at the Antioch Public Library! We are trying out a new format right now and it will look like this:

1. The meeting room will be open from 6:00 – 6:30 for quiet individual writing time. This will be unguided writing time, for those of you who wish. Settle in the space or anywhere in the library and work independently if you wish. This is with the goal in mind many have expressed of building a little more regularity into their writing practice.
2. Each month I will send a prompt one week in advance. From 6:30 until 7:15ish we will take turns reading what we have written from the prompt with short feedback and then time for conversation.
3. From 7:15 until 8 – If you have a something you are working on and you would like to bring it to the group for feedback, please write to me to sign up for a 15 minute slot.

You are welcome to come for any section or to stay for all three.
