Azure DevOps Pipelines

Azure DevOps (Formerly known as Visual Studio Team Services) is a huge product from Microsoft that (in theory) can handle all steps of a developments project. The focus of this talk is on the CI/CD part of this – Pipelines.

Pipelines are basically just another CI/CD system, but the sum of all the built-in features and hooks into other parts of Azure DevOps, Azure and even 3rd party systems make it a special tool.

In this talk I’ll introduce Azure DevOps in general and Pipelines in particular. I’ll tell you why you want to use a build server and why the “Publish” menu in Visual Studio is pure evil. I’ll demo Pipelines in all its glory - and tell you about the shortcomings.
