-Machu Picchu via the Salkantay Trail -- Last Minute Opportunity.

Meetup has been a bit glitchy lately. Initially this event was not initially properly announced.

We are going to Machu Picchu via the Salkantay Trek on August 12th 2023.

The event is small and limited to 12 total, AND we are pretty much close to filled.

Machu Picchu is a dream destination for many, but reaching it through the Salkantay Trek is an experience of a lifetime!

We are doing this amazing trip with the group in just about 2 months - the middle of August, the best time to do this hike, as it is the dry season and nature is at its prime.

Join us on August 12-22, 2023

The Salkantay Trek is an ancient and remote footpath located in the same region as the Inca Trail where massive snow capped mountains collide with lush tropical rainforests. It is less traveled than the Inca Trail and considered by many the better alternative to get to Machu Picchu because of the breathtaking vistas and lack of tourist crowds.

We will travel through changing ecosystems and scenery:

• sweeping and magical landscapes
• snowy mountains
• tropical jungle paradise
• cloud forest

. Along the way, we will see a wide variety of wildlife, medicinal plants, and flower varieties. Witness with our own eyes, a living, ancient culture in remote villages hardly ever visited by foreigners!

This is a 10-day trip, starting with 2 days in Lima, 3 days in Cusco and then doing the 5-day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu.
