About us
Are you a fanfic reader seeking recommendations and/or fellow readers to gush, cry, and laugh with? ππ―ββοΈ
Are you a writer (original works included!) in need of writing sessions, encouragement, tips, and feedback? π§ π‘
Are you interested in learning more about the history of fandom, fan media, as well as the political and cultural impact of transformative works (this includes the contributions of queer, Indigenous, Black, and non-American artists)? ππ
Most especially, do you support AO3βs mission to serve, protect, and empower fans on a global scale?: https://www.transformativeworks.org/what_we_believe/
If so, welcome! π₯³ Chicago's AO3 club is an experimental project to drive more celebration of fandom and its critical role in culture offline. We are very much in our early stages, but I would like everyone's help in building a positive, inclusive community.
