Happy Midsummer everyone!
The days are long and what better way to make use of that extra light than to sit in a dimly lit room and hack on array programming languages?
This time, I'd like to try something new: Let's come up with our own puzzles! For all of you who've always wanted to make their own Advent of Code (or, FWIW, leetcode), here's your chance.
We will come up with a quirky problem statement (since it's summer, it probably involves lemonades and these little cocktail umbrellas), define a few test cases, and try to solve it in an array language of our choice. If we have time, we can even compare solutions in different languages. And bonus points if we manage to publish it somewhere.
I can't think of a better way to give back to the community of problem thinkers.
How to join:
The event will take place online using jitsi. Just click the link on the right side when it's time to join the event. Webcams are optional, a stable internet connection is recommended.
We love a good show and tell, so if you want to share your screen and want to show us what you've been hacking on, you are very welcome. Have any other topics to share with us as well? Drop me a note and let's figure it out.
We welcome all people of all backgrounds who are interested in array programming. This event is for beginners and experts alike. I look forward to welcoming you here.
Cheers
Justus
