TrailsFest: Gear Swap at Wachusett Mountain

Got gear that you've outgrown and no longer need or want? Come get new-to-you gear or give your old gear a new life at our Gear Swap at the Worcester Chapter 2025 TrailsFest at Wachusett Mountain! The gear swap will take place from 1:00-4:00 pm during the potluck social at the Wachusett Mountain Ski Area main parking lot (41 Mile Hill Road, Westminster, Mass). Look for us at the Balance Rock trail head at the edge of the parking lot.

The focus of the gear swap is on items for outdoor activities, including gear, footwear, and clothing.
To drop off gear, please be mindful of the following guidelines:

1. Clothing can be of all sizes and styles; all kinds of clothes including non-outdoor items are welcome.
2. There is no limit on the number of items.
3. Please ensure that clothing is clean, freshly washed, and in good wearable condition with no smells, holes or other type of damage. Please no underwear.
4. Shoes, boots, and footwear should be in good condition.
5. Hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, socks and accessories including belts and jewelry are welcome.
6. Gear including backpacks, tents, snowshoes, microspikes are accepted and should be in good condition.

We will organize the clothing by category (shirts, pants, jackets, etc) in boxes identifed by signs. This will make it easy for you when you drop off your swap items or look for "new-to-you" items to take.
You may want to wear clothing in layers in order to easily try on new clothes. Mirrors will be available for your use. Bring a bag or two to carry your "new "items. The items remaining at the end of the event will be donated. You are welcome to take back the items that you brought. In case anyone wants to sell their items instead it might be a good idea to bring cash in case the seller does not take electronic payment. All sales are between the seller and the buyer.
