Craig Repasz is a co-founder and chair of Lights Out Connecticut, an organization to combat light pollution and related bird-window collisions. He will explore the awe-inspiring phenomenon of bird migration and uncover the mysteries behind their epic voyages. From colorful warblers to hummingbirds and thrushes, discover the incredible diversity of species that grace our skies during this magical season. You will gain insights into the behaviors, routes, and challenges faced by migrating birds as they embark on their remarkable journeys. Learn how to identify common species and understand the crucial role of safe stopover sites in their migration routes. AND find out why so many songbirds migrate at night!

Bring a dish to share - appetizer, entree, dessert, beverage. Doors open at 6:30, dinner at 7:00, speaker shortly after.

Location: Northboro Historical Society, 52 Main St. (Rt.20) - parking lot on School Street.
