Description
This is a 24-mile round-trip ride follows a scenic rail trail from Ayer, MA to Nashua, NH. This will be a moderate paced ride averaging 10-12 mph with slight elevation gain of 300 feet. The route is a mix of pavement and compact gravel, shaded by trees and passes by wetlands. Along the way, we’ll pass through Ayer, Groton, Pepperell, and Dunstable, MA before reaching Nashua, NH. We’ll ride 12 miles to Nashua, then return the same way. Depending on the time and how the group feels, there could be coffee or pastry stop along the way. Plan to meet at 9:45 am for a prompt 10:00 am start.
Requirements:
- Bike in good working condition
- Properly fitting helmet
- Water and snacks
