Upper Charles Rail Trail Bike Ride

The Upper Charles Rail Trail (27 miles) is a multi-use rail trail in central Massachusetts that stretches across communities including Milford, Holliston, with plans for further expansion. Built on a former railroad corridor, the trail offers a mix of flat, short inclines, crushed stone and paved path way that’s ideal for biking, walking, and running.

Along the way, we will ride on a mix of wooded areas, wetlands, follow Charles River that feeds into the Milford Pond at Fino Park. There will be occasional stretches near neighborhoods street crossings, connects Fino Field park and town center at Holliston which makes it both a recreational destination and a practical corridor for getting around. Overall, it provides a scenic bike path with a balance of nature with access to small towns.
The event will be longer, as it is a relaxed pace of 10-12 mph so we can enjoy the scenery and have a water or snack break at the half way point and return back the same way to our starting point.

Please arrive early, as the parking lot tends to fill up quickly.

Note: To reach the Milford-Hopkinton Parking lot from I-495, take exit 20 for MA 85 towards Milford/Hopkinton. Head north on MA 85 N/Cedar St. A large parking lot is located on Cedar St at the Hopkinton town line. Route 85 is also known as Cedar St. Please use the link above for parking directions.

There’s no street address for the lot, but the closest house is 252 Cedar St. (aka Route 85), Milford, MA 01757—the parking lot is across the street.
