Description: You are cordially invited to join the Worcester Chapter for our 33 rd anniversary trip to Western Maine to enjoy the gorgeous autumn colors of Maine over Columbus Day weekend. We'll be staying at the Maine House, located on the shore of beautiful Lake Christopher in the village of Bryant Pond. The charming historic house will be the base for our many hikes and other outdoor activities. The Maine House has cozy private rooms for couples and comfy bunks for singles. The dining area has a panoramic view over the lake, and a large living room with a fireplace invites all to relax and socialize during the evening. In addition, there is a hot tub and a steam room to help you recover after your day of activities. Paddle right out the door on Lake Christopher in canoes provided by the house. The trip fee includes three nights lodging (Fri - Sun), three breakfasts and make-your-own-lunch buffets, and two tasty dinners. Everyone helps with set-up or clean-up for a meal. With about 30 people on the trip, we will be able to offer various levels of hikes each day, ranging from easy to strenuous, as well as other activities. We will lead one road biking trip, and there are nearby DIY paddling opportunities. The trip cost this year is $175. Join us for this Worcester Chapter classic which draws participants from all over the club.
