Description: The event will start with an easy/moderate hike on local trails from the Grafton Lions’ Club property, about 3- 4 miles with minimal elevation. After the hike, we will gather at the pavilion and participate in a Wellness Yoga session led by Yoga Instructor Dawn Geoffroy. Dawn, a local Yoga Instructor and outdoor enthusiast, will guide us as we practice slowing down and becoming immersed in the natural environment. Dawn enjoys teaching people how to improve their range of motion, stability, and endurance, and wants to show others how regular Yoga practice can cultivate healthy, mobile joints and help prevent injury. Bring a yoga mat or beach towel for the yoga session.
Participants will bring their own lunch. Water and dessert will be provided.
Following lunch, we will make a paracord “survival” bracelet. One of the most obvious benefits of a paracord bracelet is that it provides you with a readily available supply of rope in an emergency. Paracord, short for parachute cord, is a lightweight nylon rope originally used in parachute suspension lines . Each bracelet contains several feet of this strong, durable cord, which can be unraveled and used in various situations. Whether you need to secure a load, build a shelter, or create a makeshift clothesline, having a supply of paracord can be invaluable.
The fee for this program is $15.00
