Description: Join us for a quintessential New England fall pastime -- apple picking at Berlin Orchards in Central Mass! We'll ride the hay wagon to the fields and pick classic varieties, including Jonagold, Honey Crisp, Golden Supreme, Cortland, Gala, Paula Red and Macintosh.
Afterwards, enjoy cider donuts, apple cider, and kettle corn, compliments of the Worcester Chapter! Check out the farm store for pumpkins, squash, seasonal favorites, and local honey.
We are a group within AMC that is dedicated to encouraging people in their 20s and 30s to enjoy the outdoors. Meet like-minded outdoor enthusiasts and enjoy a fun and relaxing time at the orchard. We request folks to register so that we can get a count of participants and get in touch if anything changes. Space is limited. This event is in partnership with the Worcester Chapter Social Committee.
Please no dogs as they are not allowed in the orchard due to sanitary and safety reasons. Note: start and end times are approximate and details will be sent to registered participants.
Note: The orchard charges admission in the form of apple picking bags. Here's the breakdown: $40 - 1/2 bushel bag (holds ~20 lbs worth of apples, admits 5 people to orchard) $30 - 1 peck (holds ~10 lbs worth of apples, admits 3 people to orchard) Participants can feel free to split the cost of bags with fellow participants (tip: bring cash if you plan to do so); arrangements can be made at the event.
