Description: The Midstate Trail Committee is leading two hikes starting at the Balance Rock Trailhead at Wachusett Mountain on November 8th: one easy and one more difficult. This is the easier one and will hike the Midstate Trail to Redemption Rock and back. The other one will hike up to the summit of Mount Wachusett and back. Along the way, the hike leaders will provide some history and stories to help celebrate 100 years of the Midstate Trail. This hike will be a little over 2 miles in length with an elevation gain of 150 feet. Afterwards there will be an informal meetup at Wachusett Brewery where folks can purchase food and beverages and spend time together after the hikes conclude.
