This week we are hosting Andrew Ecker — Author, Speaker, Drum Circle Facilitator, and Creator of the Drumming Sounds Protocol

Andrew Ecker is an author, speaker, and facilitator devoted to helping people reconnect with their inner rhythm and rediscover community through the healing power of sound. Born from the Apache and born to the Irish, Andrew carries forward ancestral wisdom in contemporary ways—bridging traditional ceremony, neuroscience, and wellness-based interventions.

As founder of Drumming Sounds, Andrew has led more than 5,000 wellness-based events across the United States, serving tribal nations, hospitals, treatment centers, schools, and corporations. His Drumming Sounds Protocol—an evidence-based approach integrating rhythm, mindfulness, and social connection—has been utilized in behavioral health, recovery, and integrative medicine settings, including partnerships with organizations such as Native American Connections, Chicanos Por La Causa, and the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.

Andrew is also the author of The Sacred 7: A Path to the Wholeness of Self, a book inspired by the Native American ceremonial introduction process. This work explores self-identity and ancestral connection as acts of decolonization and healing. Through his teachings, Andrew empowers individuals to understand who they are by honoring their lineage, their land, and their place in community.

With over 25 years of experience facilitating drum circles, sacred ceremonies, and recovery-based programs, Andrew blends ancient tools with modern science to cultivate resilience, joy, and belonging. His mission is to help people heal together—one beat, one breath, and one circle at a time.
