Volunteering: Improve Rocky Run Park
Details
The Arlington Jaycees have officially adopted Rock Run Park in the Courthouse neighborhood! This will be our first day of volunteering to clean up, maintain, and improve the park. We'd love for you to come and help us make this new collaboration between the Jaycees and Arlington County Parks & Recreation a success!
There will be a wide variety of tasks for volunteers to do and the parks department will supply us with the needed tools. Some of the tasks will be:
- Cleaning picnic tables
- Raking leaves and debris off basketball and tennis courts
- Painting handrails
- Removing graffiti
- Trimming vegetation
- Picking up litter
Suggested items to bring:
- Water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses
- Gloves
