What we’re about
Arnhem PAIWeb (a mnemonic for Python, AI, and WebDev) is a welcoming and inclusive Meetup group focused on Python, AI, and Web Development. The emphasis is on learning, building and growing together. This group was started by a German Data Engineer who recently moved to Arnhem, NL and is hoping to find a community of friendly, technology-curious people to learn, share, and build with and inspire and support each other on our journeys.
A central theme will be the usage of Python for Generative AI (building LLM powered applications, exploring patterns around Retrieval Augmented Generation, agents, etc..), as well as an exploration of Web technologies to make whatever logic is built accessible to users in an intuitive way.
What to expect:
We can experiment with different formats for the meetup and together decide what works best for us. Some events may take the form of a speaker giving a presentation on a specific topic, others will be free-form "Learn & Build" evenings where everyone can work on their own – Python/AI/WebDev related – personal learning goal, startup idea or hobby project.
The group is there for support, a feeling of community, and as an "energy-container" to help us focus and make deliberate progress in areas we care about but otherwise may struggle to find time or energy for. We also have a community chat on Zulip (the invitation link will be shared once you join one of the events) to provide a way for people to stay in touch also between the Meetups.
