Tour of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

Details
Join me for an in depth 2 hour tour of this wonderful 1848 Cathedral. We will be hosted by the Sacristan, Patrick Buonacore, who will show us all the hidden rooms and and some of the cathedral's secrets, including the crypt in the basement with the remains of 6 Bishops in its vaults.
Designed by Irish American architect Patrick Keeley to accommodate Albany's growing population of Catholic immigrants it is the first American Catholic cathedral built in the Neo-Gothic architectural style.
The interior features the original stained glass windows, imported from England, and award-winning Stations of the Cross statuary.
Please bring a donation of $10 to contribute to the maintenance of this historic landmark.
On street parking in Albany is free on Saturday but be cautious and check signs anyway.
