Tour of the Rockefeller Painting Collection

Details
We're going to visit the painting collection on the Concourse level of the Empire State Plaza.
Governor Nelson Rockefeller—an avid art collector—was instrumental in acquiring a collection of 92 artworks during the 1960s and 1970s. Today, many of these paintings are worth millions of dollars and are displayed along the walls of the Concourse for the daily enjoyment of passersby.
I’m hoping to take a closer look at them and discuss some of the artists behind the work.
This tour will be led by a professional guide from the Art Collection staff.
Last year, we explored the sculpture and some of the artwork on the mezzanine level.
This year, I’d like to focus on the Abstract Expressionist paintings along the Concourse walls, so I’ve arranged a guided tour through the Visitor Center staff.
The tour is free, and I won’t be collecting any Meetup donations either.
For those of you who work on weekdays, I apologize—the museum staff is not available on weekends.
