Come enjoy the spirit, music, food and fun of Louisiana. Together we'll be there for the lively Cajun and zydeco music of the Porchdogs band from 4:30-6 p.m but you're welcome to come well before that for a whole lot more music and festivities at this daylong celebration. The earlier bands are also great and there's plenty of room for dancing. "Laissez les bons temps rouler." NOTE - This Meetup will be lightly hosted. In addition to boiled crawfish, the authentic Cajun food includes jambalaya, gumbo, shrimp po' boys, etouffee, gator tail, beignets, muffelettas and much more. You can learn how to make several Creole favorites during the free cooking demonstrations by local chefs and celebrities. And you can enjoy such Bourbon Street classic cocktails as Hurricanes, Hand Grenades and a specialty Champagne Hurricane. Atoll Vodka will be giving free samples throughout the day. Other food options are available at the many restaurants within one block.
