28th Annual Manhattan Short Film Festival, the World's Best

Join us for the 28th annual Manhattan Short Film Festival, a special celebration of the best short movies by 10 independent filmmakers from around the world. Over a one-week period they'll be shown at more than 500 theaters on six continents. It's the world's first global film festival and you can be one of the judges!

Everyone gets to vote on their favorite film and actor and the winners will be announced on Oct. 6. The festival features a wide variety of films, several of which are in their original language with English subtitles. All of them are qualified for the Oscars of 2026.

This year's selections were selected as the finalists from more than 800 submitted from 65 countries. They were made in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Israel, Mexico, Norway, Spain and the Netherlands along with three films from the United States. They range from 8 to 19 minutes long and there is an intermission.

Admission to this special event is $16 at the door.
