Join us for an exciting evening of jazz at Dreyfoos School of the Arts, one of the country's premier arts magnet high schools. Featuring mostly instrumental music by the jazz ensemble and piano departments, the show covers various types of jazz. Recent concerts have included the works of such luminaries as Duke Ellington, Wynton Marsalis, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillipsie, Count Basie, Benny Carter, Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Fats Waller, Gerry Mulligan, Charlie Parker and Etta James.

The Dreyfoos band is always one of the best in the nation. It's a frequent finalist in the prestigious Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition and Festival at Lincoln Center in New York, where last year it finished fourth. *DownBeat* magazine has repeatedly honored it in its annual Student Music Awards issue.

Tickets are just $18 and must be ordered in advance. I'm handling this for our group. Message me or email me about it. **You'll be on the Waitlist until you've paid.** We'll have our own section of the spacious 600-seat Meyer Hall.

The school is one block north of Kravis Center and there's ample free parking in its fenced-in lot. After the show we can go for refreshments at a nearby restaurant.
