The Rotten Tomatoes Critics Consensus is that it's "a dense, urgent and unapologetically blunt documentary that offers a chillingly relevant examination of totalitarianism's enduring appeal and the societal conditions that enable it." The film as a whole is narrated via Orwell’s words, often laid over video clips from current human-rights atrocities happening all over the world and different television and film adaptations of "1984."
