Clef Notes: A Free Program on Shakespeare's Enduring Role in Music
Details
Join us for a free, multimedia presentation by Claudio Jaffé, principal cellist with the Palm Beach Symphony, on musical expressions of the Bard’s enduring stories on the symphonic stage. Special attention will be paid to the works of Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev inspired by "Romeo and Juliet" and Mendelssohn's "A Midsummer Night's Dream."
We'll meet between 1:30 and 1:45 p.m. by the 3rd floor auditorium and have a little time to socialize before the show starts at 2 p.m. Afterward, we can enjoy fancy coffees, pastries, sandwiches, smoothies and shakes at the Salento Coffee Shop on the 1st floor.
Parking is just $1 if you use the City Center Garage next to the library at 199 N. Dixie Highway. Simply bring in your ticket and get a voucher for $1 parking when leaving the garage.
This is a multi-group Meetup. Ours is sponsored by Walls R Us Painting.
