Join us for an exciting evening of jazz at Dreyfoos School of the Arts, one
of the country's premier arts magnet high schools. Featuring mostly instrumental
music, the show covers several types of jazz. Recent concerts have included
the works of such luminaries as Duke Ellington, Wynton Marsalis, Ella Fitzgerald,
Peggy Lee, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillipsie, Count Basie, Quincy Jones, Charlie
Parker and Etta James.

The Dreyfoos band is always one of the best in the nation. It's a frequent
finalist in the prestigious Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band
Competition and Festival at Lincoln Center in New York. DownBeat magazine
has repeatedly honored it in its its annual Student Music Awards issue.

TICKETS MUST BE ORDERED IN ADVANCE, $18. I'm handling this for our
group. You'll be on the Waitlist until you've paid. We'll have our own seating
section in the spacious 600-seat Meyer Hall. Message me or email me if
you have any questions.

The school is one block north of Kravis Center and there's ample free parking
in its fenced-in lot. After the show, we can go for refreshments at a nearby restaurant.

This is a multi-group Meetup. Ours is sponsored by Walls R Us Painting.
