Restaurant Dinner, Watch Free Over 50 League Ice Hockey Game at PB Skate Zone
Details
The summer heat will be no problem for our coolest event of the year, a visit to the
Palm Beach Skate Zone to watch competitive amateur ice hockey between teams in
the local Over 50 league. This is a highly social event and you don't need to at all be
a hockey fan to enjoy it. Admission is free. We'll have our own special seating.
We'll meet for dinner at 6:15 p.m. at a nearby casual restaurant on Lake Worth Road
that will be announced later. If you can't make it for dinner, you're welcome to meet us afterward at the skating rink. The hockey starts at 8 p.m.
One of the largest ice-skating arenas in Florida, the 75,000-square foot Palm Beach Skate
Zone boasts three full-size rinks. It's conveniently just off the Florida Turnpike exit at Lake Worth Road. Opened in 1997 as a facility for roller hockey, one of the rinks was converted to ice skating in 2003 and the other two were later changed. It has served more than a million people over the years.
Note- This is a multi-group Meetup. Ours is sponsored by Walls R Us Painting.
