Free Concert of Florida Folk Music by Singer/Songwriter Grant Livingston

Join us for a free concert of original Florida folk music by Grant Livingston, one of the
state's most prominent folk musicians and a longtime environmental advocate. With
an upbeat, offbeat sense of humor, he'll sing about Florida's wildlife, history and culture and invite the audience for several easy sing-alongs. Whether they're tributes to the state's natural beauty or deal with environmental problems, Grant wants the audience to laugh, think, sing along and believe in a positive future.

We'll meet between 1:30 and 1:45 p.m. by the 3rd floor auditorium and have a little time
to socialize before the show starts. Afterward, we can enjoy fancy coffees, pastries, sandwiches, smoothies and shakes at the Salento Coffee Shop on the 1st floor. This
is a multi-group Meetup.

Parking is free if you use the City Center Garage next to the library at 199 N. Dixie Hwy.
It's just east of Quadrille Blvd. and you can enter it from either Banyan Blvd. or N. Dixie.
Simply bring in your ticket and get a voucher for free parking when leaving the garage.

Over his distinguished career, the storytelling troubadour has played at many major folk
festivals, state and national parks, clubs and coffeehouses. Since 1987, he's perfomed every year at the prestigious Florida Folk Festival, the state's largest and oldest. He's
served as Artist-in-Residence in Everglades National Park and has partnered with such organizations as the Tropical Audubon Society and Florida Native Plant Society. He's often a featured guest on the Folk & Acoustic Music show on NPR's Miami affiliate, WLRN.
